Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union interviews Professor Anna Falk about what the EU means to her.
Anna Falk is a Professor of Developmental Biology at Lund University and Associate Professor at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. Anna leads a group researching human brain development and factors underlying neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
“My coworkers and I create models of the human brain and the development of the human brain. Using these models, we are able to understand the causes of neurodevelopmental or neuropsychiatric diseases” she says.
To me, the EU means removing borders. Research needs to be borderless – human disease is borderless!
